Who I am and what I do…
Hello. I’m Dora, a graduate from The Glasgow School of Art where I achieved a Masters degree in Fashion & Textiles specialising in woven textile design. Explore my project work, including a range of collections in my gallery.
Through my Masters degree I developed a range of skills including Project Management Co-ordination; Creative Thinking; Research and Communication.
I’m also experienced in:
- Pitching and presenting throughout the design process and out with the studio environment.
- Research Process from stage 1 to finish.
- Creating Prototypes.
- Colour Evaluation.
- Design Solutions.
- Design Concept.
- Design Skills.
- Adobe Photoshop.
- Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe InDesign.
Having to co-ordinate the Masters Promenade Show helped me to develop strategy using social media and gained the show a vast amount of attention. Throughout University, peers frequently sought my advice and opinion when challenged with technical problems regarding design process. I was always happy to help, as I enjoy the challenge and felt privileged that they had sought me out. Since graduation I have worked on various commissions, sold products in several boutiques and joined The Glasgow School of Art as a Research Assistant on a Harris Tweed project.
I’m currently scoping out my next opportunity, exploring my options and looking to work for a company within the creative industries, ideally working with like-minded people who are looking to push the boundaries of modern design and who aren’t afraid to take risks.
